I'll Never Fall in Love Again (Tom Jones song)

Not to be confused with I'll Never Fall in Love Again, the Bacharach/David composition which was a hit for both Bobbie Gentry and Dionne Warwick.

I'll Never Fall in Love Again is a song issued as a single by Tom Jones in 1967. The song was written by Lonnie Donegan (previously released by Donegan as a single in 1962) and Jimmy Currie. On first release it reached number 2 in the UK charts, but was less successful in the USA where it peaked at number 49 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 28 on the Adult Contemporary/Easy Listening chart.

This song was covered in 1978 by Filipino singer Sam Sorono (1950–2008) on his Sings Tom Jones' Greatest Hits LP album with EMI Records.

1969 re-issue

"I'll Never Fall in Love Again" was reissued two years later in the US and became an even bigger hit for Jones, this time reaching number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.
